Transformation Tuesdays Week #52

Well, it's a year later since I decided to do Transformation Tuesdays. What did I learn about myself?

  • I have no self control
  • I am a VERY emotional eater
  • I try to do something and when I fail, food is my go to
  • I DEFINITELY don't follow through like I need to
  • In a year of ups and downs with weight, I only gained 5.2 lbs at the end of it
  • I lost my motivation
  • I lost my drive
  • I am running out of excuses
The last one is the one I am focusing on. I AM RUNNING OUT OF EXCUSES. I don't like being overweight. It's not the way people are towards me, it's how I am towards myself. When I lost weight down to 260, I didn't look much different BUT I had confidence in myself. I FELT sexy. I didn't care what others thought AND I didn't care what I thought about myself as I thought I looked great! I think that is to be my theme this coming year, finding myself again and making myself feel healthy, well, and so confident in myself. I'm planning on writing up my New Year's Resolutions and posting them. I would hate to think I fail them but I know I truly am what is holding myself back at this time!

Wow!

I took a longer hiatus then I was planning on! I still am out a laptop at the moment and we all are sharing one computer. With 3 kids and a geeky husband who LOVES to play his games, it's hard to get a few minutes on it! Hopefully I will be back to posting more regularly as I do plan on making the blog more of a priority again!

#Marvel's #Avengers Age Of Ultron Trailer Leaked!!

I don't know about you, but my husband came bursting in and wanted to make sure I knew that Marvel's Avengers: Age of Ultron was leaked and so Marvel did what was best and just posted it for everyone to see. He is jumping up and down about it and says he has watched it at least 5 times so far. As someone who has never read the comic books, it looks interesting but I'm a bit confused on it!

What do you guys think of the trailer??

Disney's #InsideOut Teaser Trailer Released! In Theaters June 2015

U.S. Release Date:                    June 19, 2015
Director:                                   Pete Docter
Co-Director:                              Ronnie del Carmen
Producer:                                  Jonas Rivera

From an adventurous balloon ride above the clouds to a monster-filled metropolis, Academy Award®-winning director Pete Docter (“Monsters, Inc.,” “Up”) has taken audiences to unique and imaginative places. In Disney•Pixar’s original movie “ Inside Out,” he will take us to the most extraordinary location of all—inside the mind.

Growing up can be a bumpy road, and it's no exception for Riley, who is uprooted from her Midwest life when her father starts a new job in San Francisco. Like all of us, Riley is guided by her emotions – Joy (Amy Poehler), Fear (Bill Hader), Anger (Lewis Black), Disgust (Mindy Kaling) and Sadness (Phyllis Smith). The emotions live in Headquarters, the control center inside Riley’s mind, where they help advise her through everyday life. As Riley and her emotions struggle to adjust to a new life in San Francisco, turmoil ensues in Headquarters. Although Joy, Riley's main and most important emotion, tries to keep things positive, the emotions conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house and school.

Notes:
·       Director Pete Docter is the Academy Award®-winning director of “Up.” He made his directorial debut with Disney•Pixar‘s smash hit “Monsters, Inc.,” which was nominated for an Academy Award for best animated feature film. Along with John Lasseter and Andrew Stanton, Docter developed the story and characters for “Toy Story,” Pixar‘s first full-length feature film, for which he also served as supervising animator. He served as a storyboard artist on “A Bug’s Life” and wrote the initial story treatment for “Toy Story 2.” As one of Pixar Animation Studios’ key creative contributors, Docter garnered an Academy Award nomination for his original story credit on Disney•Pixar’s Golden Globe®- and Oscar®-winning “WALL•E.”
·       Jonas Rivera produced the Academy Award®-winning “Up,” for which he was nominated for best picture. Prior to “Up,” he had worked on nearly every Pixar film since joining Pixar Animation Studios in 1994, beginning with “Toy Story” for which he served as production office assistant. His subsequent credits include “A Bug’s Life” (as art department coordinator), “Toy Story 2” (as a marketing and creative resources coordinator), “Monsters, Inc.” (as art department manager) and the Golden Globe®-winning “Cars” (as production manager).

Don't Know About You, But I'm Rooting For The Royals! #BeRoyal #TakeTheCrown!

Tonight is Game #1 of the World Series KC Royals vs SF Giants. I am rooting for the Royals of course! I have been a fan since I can remember. My mom says when they were in the World Series last, I watched it. I may have been 2 and been playing in my play pen but I watched it :)

Royals baseball has been a tradition in our family for as long as I can remember. My grandpa would have the TV on to watch it but the radio on to listen to Denny Matthews, the voice of the Royals, because he just did the announcing better. I never really got into the game. We would go to the college tournaments with my grandpa and it really wasn't too impressive to me at that time.

Fast forward to this summer.....
For my mom's birthday, my sister decided we should go see the Royals. My mom had never been to an actual game in her life either. So, we all went. It was AMAZING. The atmosphere was just crazy! Not to mention we had great seats!

When the game started, it was so neat to watch the crowd interact. When someone came up to bat, on the screen they had a cool looking animation with their name and stats. It was funny how it was the Game of Thrones theme. (Which I haven't watched or read!)

If you would have asked me who my favorite Royals player is, I would say George Brett as that's all I used to know. After watching my first game, I totally root for Butler, Moustakas, and Hosmer! I have also gotten my husband into the sport. Being a geek, he really doesn't like sports or to watch them but now we make it somewhat of a "date night" thing together.

So, why am I typing all this for a blog post? Well, because I am so proud of what the Kansas City Royals have accomplished and it has been such a pleasure to watch them play this season! Win or lose, they are an amazing group of guys that have taken a great sport and shown the world that they have what it takes to win!

Transformation Tuesdays Week #43

So, here is my goal for the end of the year. On Tuesday, December 30th (10 weeks from now) I hope to be down to 260.0 lbs. I figured I would make it a nice and simple goal. It's not about the measures, etc right now. It's that I start. I have a terrible time starting then continuing with my weight loss goals. I need to do this not only for me but for my family. If I'm eating terribly, so are they. I help bring the junk in so I need to help take it out. I guess the only thing I can look at positively for this year so far is that I haven't really gained any weight. There is so much worse that I could have done. Got to be positive to continue the positive!

Have you seen the trailer for this yet??? (I'll post it below too!) It looks very interesting and very promising! Disney has been putting out a lot more different movies from the different character perspectives which I have been enjoying. It will be nice when they release another trailer to get to see more of what this movie will be about too! What do you think? Are you going to see it?

#BIGHERO6 New Clip #1

Check out the new clip that Disney released in September! We are getting excited to be able to go to the theater with the kids to see this movie! Big Hero 6 comes to theaters November 7th!

My Week Fun

This week has been.....fun......that's the word we will use for it. It started with kids having the stomach bug Monday to me and the last of the munkins getting it Thursday. I started planning my freezer meals over the week and started on Wednesday with the shopping. I was able to get about 2 meals done before church time and then was planning on finishing up on Thursday. That's when I was knocked down and out. It was crazy to see my kids suffer and be done in 12 hours what took me about 36 hours to get over. KIDS! Plans got changed so I didn't get to do my freezer meals with my friend because of all the sickness BUT the hubby and I were able to finish off the rest of my list on Saturday before any of the meat went bad! I had to scratch off a couple of things from my list that I hoped I wouldn't have to BUT after Saturday we had 25 meals! I was so excited about that! The cost was around $250 give or take (don't have the receipts and we did stock up on spices and other needs for the house too.)

What I look forward the most for the next 30 days? Basically just cooking out of the crockpot or stove without much work on my part now! I am hoping to post a few of my freezer meal recipes with you in the next few weeks! I hope you enjoy!

I'll start adding a goal or two in there too but for right now, I am just going to try and take it a day at a time, a meal at a time because that is where I have to be. Everyone has to start somewhere right?

Being A Mom Sucks....

There are days you just want to vent. You decide facebook/twitter/where ever is a great place and just let loose. "Everyone understands where I am coming from and will agree!" you think. As a mom, you just need to vent and get it out and then you're better, right?

Wrong! There is always that one "friend" out there on your list. You know the one. They are crabby, mean, and always seem to have a comment for everything. Instead of you just venting out the frustration to feel better and know you aren't alone, there is that one "friend" that tells you how horrible you are.

"Your kid isn't potty trained? He knows how, you just aren't doing it right"

"Your house isn't clean? You have all this free time why aren't you cleaning it? It's not that hard!"

"Seriously, you don't make your kids do it? I don't see why not! It's not that hard to keep a house clean."

"You get time to watch tv? Why do that to yourself?? You have 3 hours without kids you should be cleaning and getting everything done while no one is home. That's a waste of time."

For these comments, I have started to not want to post at all. I have started holding it more in. I feel like a worthless mom. I feel like I am not doing ANYTHING right. When you are a stay at home mom, you don't have as many outlets to get things out. You have those wonderful little kids around that don't understand why mommy is upset. Unlike portrayed on TV shows and such, as a stay at home mom I really don't have any friends that I go out with. I have been forcing myself into more situations to get around more moms but then you see the clicks, the moms who are putting on that wonderful front of being awesome. The moms that are already friends and so they spend the whole time talking at the table so you just sit there and eat a donut and drink your coffee while feeling judged about that donut and the way your hair is and how you didn't breastfeed your babies.

The point of this whole post. MOMS it is okay for you to vent! It's okay for you to feel like you aren't doing anything right! Don't pay attention to those haters! They are just jealous and trying to make you feel bad. They don't know your life. They don't know your situation! They don't know your kids! Be the best mom you are! Enjoy that Netflix binge. Enjoy that cup of coffee in solitude right before the pick up round up comes. As a society, people need to learn to be more kind. You don't like when people post rude on your facebook post, so don't do it right back. Remember you are the daughter of God, you are the way God intended you to be and you are doing the best you can!

#DoMore #Contest Degree Women's MOTIONSENSE Deodorant with 48-Hour Protection Review

The other day, I received Degree MOTIONSENSE deodorant in the mail. I was a bit hesitate to try it. I have been looking for a deodorant that will work. It seems all that I try just doesn't cut it. I sweat like crazy, or the smell "wears off" so I can smell the funk! I was glad to receive this to try. It claims that "the more you move the more it protects." It says it protects for 48 hours.

After trying it for a week, I think it DOES work! I haven't tried going over 24 hours but I know the more I worked on my "mommy" stuff and errands, the less I felt I had to worry. I haven't had as bad of sweat spots as I am used to with my other deodorant. At the end of the day, I still smell the Fresh Energy scent! I have not been used to that in a long time! In my opinion, this is a great deodorant if you are looking for a deodorant that you are looking for to work with you!

You can find Degree Women's MOTIONSENSE deodorant at a Walmart near you!

Disclaimer: I received these products complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes.

Freezer Meal Ideas?!

So, my plan is the weekend of September 13-14, I am going to have a freezer meal marathon day! I have a friend that is planning on joining me so that we can make meals together and then *hopefully* have enough for a whole month! In do this, I am hoping to help myself out with the what do I make blues/funk I have been in lately as I don't want to make anything! It's been so hot lately that I don't want to get the house hot either so some of those recipes I am looking at are freezer to crockpot meals. I stumbled across a GREAT blog Sidetracked Sarah and she has some amazing ideas and recipes! I am hoping to post out a list of what we will be making next week. Then my plan is to have a couple of posts that weekend showing the meals being made and then able to have some recipes to post the following week, sound good?

Anyone have any freezer meals they love making that are easy and/or taste great?

Guardians of the Galaxy Lego-Inspired Video

This is perfect for my kids! Anything and everything Legos makes them happy these days. We spent a day at Legoland this summer and they have been asking to go back constantly since! I know they loved looking through the different scenes at Legoland. I loved the most seeing the Wizard of Oz set!

A Marvel and Lego fan, youtube sensation Forrest Whaley created his own version of Guardians of the Galaxy from Legos for all to enjoy! Let me know what you think!

Big Hero 6 New Trailer

Ok, have to admit the reason I like this picture so much is a big cream puff is holding a kitty! So cute!!

Walt Disney Animation released a new trailer a couple weeks ago for Big Hero 6. Have you gotten to watch it yet? Makes it look like another great movie for Disney!

#GuardiansOfTheGalaxy Extended Look!

Guardians of the Galaxy hit theatres August 1st and has been doing very well! My husband saw it and loved it! I still have yet to see it but have a feeling it will be one of those movies without kids as I was told there was a bit too much language for my kids to listen to.

Have you gone and watched Guardians of the Galaxy yet? What are your thoughts?

I'm Back!

Sorry my short hiatus turned out to be longer. Depression has a way of getting a great hold on you and causing lots of things to occur in your mind and you just can't control it. I really hate depression. I know I am the one that can control it as I am the one that can decide ultimately to be depressed or not to be. Some say it is probably "Summer Blues" and maybe that might be it. We haven't done too much this summer but enough to keep us busy, too. I am hoping I can get this all under me again and begin blogging. I also have a dream lately to finally finish a novel that I had been working on for a few years. Who knows if I will get it done, but I'm going to try! I also am wanting to work harder on my blog and get it bigger and better. I had started my blog for something to do, then I thought maybe I could do more with it. Right now, I don't know what I am going to do but for now I am going to try! I'm going to try and share information I think you should know. I am going to try to do more reviews of things. I am going to try and share more of my mom-isms and day in the life of me as a mom. We will see how this all goes again and please bear with me!

Transformation Tuesdays Week 27

It was a longer week then usual, but shorter at the same time! Holiday weekends can do that to you! I know I could have eaten a lot worse than I did. I could have eaten better than I did too. The good news is, I'm not going to beat myself up for it. I didn't get much accomplished on the home front I believe because we were gone for 4 days to spend time with family. It was a great break from home but it was still a bit stressful. Just like a vacation is with kids! My hubby helped his dad rebuild his deck so a lot of his time was out there while my time was with the kids and cooking and baking for the different pot lucks we had and then a big meal for the guys that helped with the deck. It was a great weekend, don't get me wrong. BUT I would love to have another weekend now after it so we can all recoup and I can get some time with the hubby that is not with the kids! Difference between last week and this week:
  • Not as busy
  • I am ready to dig in on the workouts
  • I have been on a cleaning/decluttering spree!
  • I am going to work to FINISH all my goals
So, this week I will be leaving my goals all the same in hopes that next week when I update, I will have a strike through everything! Hope you all have a great week!!

Day 15 Of 30 Day Shred.....Half Way!

Yay! I am now half way through my 30 Day Shred challenge! I did miss a couple days over the weekend as we were out of town. I made up for it in some of the hard work I was doing I think! Then I really got back into it yesterday as it was day 15! Things I have noticed.....
1) I don't take a good picture of myself!

2) I am not sweating as bad! I used to start sweating right away, now I can get to almost Round #3 before I start a downpour!
3) I do not have to "rest" like I did in the beginning!
4) I do have more endurance as she makes note of! I ran with my son for a short distance and wasn't completely winded and done with the day! I actually felt invigorated!
5) I feel better about doing the workout! It's something I feel better about doing, instead of HAVING to do!

Now, for the half way measurements!!!

Measurements Before:
(June 23rd)
Arms:  Left 17" Right 17.5"
Thighs: Left 30" Right 30" Circumference 43.5"
Hips: 58"
Waist(measured below tatas): 46"
Chest(tatas): 52"

Measurements Half Way:
(July 7th)
Arms: Left 16.5"  Right 17"
Thighs: Left 30" Right 30" Circumference 43.5"
Hips: 57"
Waist: 43.5"
Chest: 52"

Total in 15 days: Overall 4.5" inches!

I know some could lose more. I know I could lose more if I ate really well and did it the days I missed BUT to know I lost 4.5" is awesome!!! Now to see where I end up at the end of this! Only 15 more days to go! July 22nd isn't that far away!
