#DoMore #Contest Degree Women's MOTIONSENSE Deodorant with 48-Hour Protection Review

The other day, I received Degree MOTIONSENSE deodorant in the mail. I was a bit hesitate to try it. I have been looking for a deodorant that will work. It seems all that I try just doesn't cut it. I sweat like crazy, or the smell "wears off" so I can smell the funk! I was glad to receive this to try. It claims that "the more you move the more it protects." It says it protects for 48 hours.

After trying it for a week, I think it DOES work! I haven't tried going over 24 hours but I know the more I worked on my "mommy" stuff and errands, the less I felt I had to worry. I haven't had as bad of sweat spots as I am used to with my other deodorant. At the end of the day, I still smell the Fresh Energy scent! I have not been used to that in a long time! In my opinion, this is a great deodorant if you are looking for a deodorant that you are looking for to work with you!

You can find Degree Women's MOTIONSENSE deodorant at a Walmart near you!

Squish: Mickey Mouse Clayhouse App For iOS Review!

Looking for some summer fun that pushes the limits of your child’s creativity and imagination? Last week, Disney Publishing unveiled “Squish: Mickey Mouse Clayhouse,” the next app in its growing collection of creativity-based apps where children and families can sculpt and squish anything your imagination can dream up!

Squish: Mickey Mouse Clayhouse” invites kids to stretch, push, and pull clay to make Mickey or Minnie, or start from scratch with dozens of fun clay shapes from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse universe. Once finished, you can twist, inflate, and melt your creation using fun and unique Squishers.

Additional features include:

• 3D clay molds of Mickey and Minnie with easy-to-use sculpting tools
• Character molds and shapes that help little ones make their favorite characters from the show
• Unique Squishers: the “Twisterator,” the “Melter,” and the “Inflaterator”
• Kids can save their clay creations to the Gallery to show-off to their family and friends

My kids LOVE it. It is like them playing with playdoh but not getting the mess all over the table! It was kind of hard at first to get the hang of it as there is no real tutorial but the kids caught on quickly. I also love that there are parental controls on it so that unless they are older and can read the number words, they shouldn't be able to get into the "grown ups only" area.

My son was the first to try it. He says it's awesome! He got to make his own Mickey Mouse and then personalize it to his liking! He then proceeded to blow it up!

My lil sweetheart thought it was fun to get to make her own shapes. She took a circle shape and then dressed it up with some sunglasses, hair bow, and guitar and then stretched it out to make it go in all sorts of directions! Her choice to "destroy" her creation was to put it in a tube and twist it until it popped and fell out of the tube!

Overall I say this is a great app for younger kids. There isn't much to it so they will be able to pick it up fairly easy. They also will enjoy being able to make their own creations and destroy it! Moms will love it as they are playing this on their phone and not in real life! I know for me, playdoh is fun in the house but I really do not like the mess that it leaves behind!

Review: Honk, Honk! Beep Beep!

Honk Honk! Beep Beep! is another book received to review! My little sweetheart automatically thought this book was hers. I don't remember how many times we read through the book that week! Whenever she finds it, we have to start reading it again!
.

Honk Honk! Beep Beep! is a book about a dad and son (toys) that get up early and get in their jeep. They are going for a ride and on the way, they run into some friends that are going their own way that morning and even a few that need a lift.

Her favorite part of the book was all the sheep! She loves sheep!

Honk Honk! Beep Beep! is a nice and simple book to read to my kids! She was able to recognize Honk Honk! Beep Beep! on the page so I left those for her to say and she enjoys reading the book even more from that! I would recommend Honk Honk! Beep Beep! for those special little ones in your life!

Do your kids have a favorite book? Is there one that you love sharing with your kids?

Honk Honk! Beep Beep!

Father and child rise early for a trip to watch the sunrise on the mountaintop.  Along the way they meet many friendly faces, some headed the same direction, and others in their own vehicles—big rigs, bulldozers and trains--with their own places to go and things to do. Nothing beats the start of a brand new day, especially when there are many vehicles to spot along the way.

With a simple, playful text and boldly colored, toy-like illustrations, Daniel Kirk captures the fun of a special drive.

Julep Subscription Box Review

I'm sure if you are like me, you keep seeing all the ads for Julep everywhere. I decided to give it a try since the first box was free, I just had to pay $3.99 shipping. It came pretty quick compared to what I thought it would be like! The box was a nice pink box too, another nice bonus to me!

When I opened it up, it was still nicely packed and looked so pretty and professional!

I received Julep Nail Color Jane, Julep Nail Color Sydney, Julep Freedom Polymer Top Coat, and a couple of nail buffers.

I am not too much of an orange person, but it was different and went on so smooth compared to the cheap nail polish I usually buy! I think the best thing about this is that I got colors I wouldn't have ever chosen for myself and they turned out to look pretty good!

I love glitter, who doesn't?! I wanted to see if it would look good on it's own but with this one, I think it was meant to be paired with the Jane nail polish.

Does it look red? Yes it does! It was kind of weird, in the house it was orange but if I went outside it was more of a redder color which was kind of neat to see!

This picture is a week later! (It looks more red because I had the windows open!) BUT other than it "wearing off" from where my nail was growing, it did NOT chip! I was so impressed! It looked great until I took it off! I am not used to a nail polish lasting like that!

I would DEFINITELY recommend Julep to try if you haven't yet! The first box is free with code HELLOYOU only pay $2.99 to $3.99 shipping which to me was worth it!

Also currently they are having a Julep Red Marker Sale! They have things starting at $1 with most of them being $2! Make sure you hurry and check it out! They will be adding things through the sale which ends Tomorrow, Friday June 13, 2104 at 11:59 PST so make sure to check it out ASAP!!!

Have you tried Julep before? What are your thoughts?

Review: Chengdu Could Not, Would Not Fall Asleep

*Disclaimer: I received a free copy of Chengdu Could Not, Would Not Fall Asleep from Disney Publishing Worldwide in return for a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A few weeks ago, we got a great surprise in the mail! We opened it and found that we had received a GREAT book called Chengdu Could Not, Would Not Fall Asleep to review! We had never heard of this book before, but anything with pandas HAS to be good! We are a family that loves to read! Add in anything with bears of any kind and my husband is sold on it!

The book is not a long read, which is great for my youngest. The illustrations are done beautifully and he was  inspired to draw them by his wife Susan's adventurous photographs. It tells a story of a panda named Chengdu. Everyone was fast asleep, all except Chengdu. He tries many ways to fall asleep and just can't.

Another thing, I love about this book is that its not like a normal book. There are a couple pages to pull out to see even more of the whole picture! My kids like that we can pull out the page and Chengdu is somewhere else on the page.

I definitely recommend this book if you have young children in your household. It is a cute little book that everyone in the family will enjoy!

You can find Chengdu Could Not, Would Not Fall Asleep on sale at Amazon.com , Walmart.com, or anywhere books are sold!

Black and White Cookie Recipe AKA Awesomeness!

So, I have been hooked on this wonderful series written by Joanne Fluke. It is the Hannah Swensen's Mysteries. They are great little "cozy murder mystery" books that I just love to read! They all have wonderful recipes in them and it is so hard to read the book without wanting to stop and make the recipe! She has also released a Lake Eden Cookbook which has all the recipes in it and also includes some new ones never published! One recipe I have now made 3 times in the last week is her Black and White cookies! They taste like a brownie and a cookie all in one. They also remind me a bit like a chocolate crinkle! They are wonderful and you will just have to make them yourself! Good luck not having the whole family eat them all before you are done! Good thing it makes about 5-6 dozen!

Joanne Fluke's Black and Whites
DO NOT PREHEAT OVEN! DOUGH MUCH CHILL BEFORE BAKING!

2 cups Chocolate Chips (12 oz package)
3/4 cup Butter ( 1 1/2 sticks)
2 cups Brown Sugar
4 Eggs
2 Teaspoons Vanilla Extract
2 Teaspoons Baking Powder
1 Teaspoon Salt
2 Cups Flour (not sifted, packed down!)
1/2 Cup Powdered Sugar in a bowl for later

Melt the chocolate chips and butter in a large bowl in the microwave. It took about 2 to 2 1/2 minutes. Mix in the brown sugar and let it cool. (I did about 10-20 minutes)
Add in the eggs, one at a time, until mixed well.
Mix in the vanilla extract, baking powder, and salt.
Add the flour one cup at a time until well mixed.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and put into the fridge for at least 4 hrs. (Overnight is even better!)
When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Roll into 1-2 inch dough balls. This will get a bit messy but well worth it! Drop the dough balls into the powder sugar and coat them well.
Place them onto a greased cookie sheet and bake for 12 to 14 minutes. Don't worry about pressing them down, they will flatten as they cook!
Move to a wire rack after 1-2 minutes after pulling them out of the oven.
Grab a nice big glass of milk and try not to eat them all!
ENJOY!

Do You Bake? Oh La La Garlic Bread Seasoning Review

*This post is not compensated in any way. I bought the product, loved it so much that I wanted to share it with you! All thoughts and opinions are my own*

My friend Amanda has been sharing many pictures of a new business she sells for called Do You Bake?. I kept seeing the food and drooling. All of the items are 100% natural and they do not us preservatives or additives in any of the items. That made it seem even better to try!

For Christmas, my husband let me buy a few things to try. One of them was the Oh La La Garlic Bread Seasoning. I was hooked the minute I saw the picture and had to buy it! Even better is that there is NO SALT added in the seasoning mix!! I love the garlic spread I can find at the local grocery store, but it is so packed with so much things I can't even pronounce! Not to mention how expensive it can be. It comes in a bottle just like most seasonings you can buy at the store.

You open it up and the smell just takes you away! It smells SOOOOO good!!! Then all you got to do is add about 2 tablespoons for every 1/2 teaspoon of the seasoning.

So simple! I like my things a bit more garlicy so I did add a bit extra but not too much!

After mixing it, it just slide off the spatula like it was meant to be! To make garlic bread sticks in our house, we usually shop the clearance bread at the store or go to the local bread outlet store and get hot dog buns. They make for some AMAZING bread sticks!

Don't they just look amazing?!

I could have easily made the whole pack of hot dog buns (16 total when pulled apart) with the stick of butter and the seasoning. But instead, I saved 3 buns for tomorrow for lunch time. Knowing what exactly is in my spread is wonderful! Even better the price it will save me! We hardly ever use up the tub from the store before it is bad. With this, I just need a stick of butter! The bottle should make about 9 batches of bread sticks for my family. That's about $10 compared to $3 for the tub at the store!

Again, amazing especially with my Italian Stuffed Shells!

Make sure you go to Do You Bake? and take a look around! There is more there than just seasoning! They also have different kinds of beer breads, cookies, dips and cheeseballs, and even doggie treats for your little fur babies!! They seem to add new items and have specials all the time. If you have any questions, feel free to email Amanda! She is very knowledgeable of the products. If she doesn't know the answer, she can find it fast!  You can also go and like her facebook page Slim Pickens Studio! She will run contests from time to time and sometimes posts specials you can only get through her!

Allied Shirts Review

I received an email the other day asking me if I would like to try Allied Shirts.com and to write a review. I just had to jump on it! Allied Shirts is a company that makes custom T-Shirts, Sweatshirts, and Hoodies. I love customized shirts but have never thought about getting my own because I thought they would be too expensive and cheaply made. Not true!!

The process to make the shirt was easy from start to finish! I got to pick the text and clip art. I got to design the shirt all by myself! The nice thing too is if there is anything wrong with the design or if it might not work, they will email you and let you know!

The shipping was fast too! I ordered on November 5th and it was here in the mail November 12th! When I opened it, I was just so impressed!

The colors are so bright! It looking at it, I'm not afraid of washing it and the letters coming off.

(Please excuse the mess,  I have kids!!!)

I got an XL shirt and I was impressed how well it fit. Yes, I am still currently working on losing weight so I will look even better in the shirt in a few more pounds, but the fact it fit was nice. It also is a preshrunk cotton shirt, so I know that it will continue to fit even after I wash it!

I definitely recommend Allied Shirts.com to anyone looking to make a customized shirt! Right now they are also having a HUGE sale! All T-shirts are 30% off! The discount will automatically be taken off at checkout. You will have to hurry because it ends November 28, 2013 at 11:59PM Central time!

*Disclaimer: I received a free Custom Gildan Tee from AlliedShirts.com in return for a review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Easy Canvas Prints Review

I love entering contests, I really do! You never know what surprise you can get. I mean, someone has to win right? Well, I had entered a few different blogs to win a free canvas print. To my surprise, I received an email a couple weeks ago. I was asked to review a canvas print! A great surprise indeed!

I ordered my canvas print on July 29th. I received it in the mail yesterday, August 6th. To me, that's pretty quick turn around!

It came by Fedex and the guy was nice enough to actually put it down nicely compared to the usual drop I hear from other companies!

So excited to open it up!!!

I love how Easy Canvas Prints even took the time to package it nicely so that it wouldn't be damaged!

So excited to see the finished product!

Our living room doesn't have much light so it looks a bit darker, but it is perfect!!

I also loved that I had the option to either put a border around the canvas or to have the image wrap around! I was very impressed with the canvas and the easy process it took to make it!

I really recommend Easy Canvas Prints! I know what I am going to do for Christmas this year! Right now they are having 25% off their canvas prints with free shipping! You can also sign up for exclusive deals!

Hodgson Mill

Just received my goodies from Hodgson Mill! I had won a gift certificate for $25 worth of goodies. The one thing that gets to me on some of these giveaways is that you don't know whether you have to spend all the money or you can use it to pay shipping. In this case, I had to get $25 of items and shipping was NOT included. I was okay with it since I have been wanting to get some Hodgson Mill things after seeing the post anyways!!! Here is what I got!

Sweet cornbread mix, 2 - 2 lb whole wheat best for bread flour, Whole wheat pancake mix, onion ring batter mix, mushroom batter mix and 3 - 6 oz dehydrated blueberries

I can't wait to try them all!!! The kids and I have already tried the blueberries, VERY glad I got 3 of them as we have eaten about half of one so far!!

Batter Blaster Review

I have always wanted to try the Batter Blaster. Just the thought that it comes in a can and I don't have to deal with making it or a mess AND I mean it comes out of a can!!! LOL The price though was a bit too much to me to try. The cheapest I have found it was $4.79. Well, I won a free coupon to try it in a recent giveaway so I was so excited!! We decided today was a perfect day for pancakes so I went ahead and gave them a try!

To make the pancakes, you shake the can upside very well. Then you spray it onto your cooking surface. The first one to me was very weird because it was like putting whipped cream onto my griddle!!!

It didn't take it too long to form into a nice looking pancake though!

After I flipped it, it really started to look like a pancake! I couldn't believe how nice they looked!

They look even better with sausage and syrup!!

My disappointment in it was that it didn't seem to fluff up as much as my regular pancakes do. They were pretty thin but they were still airy and not tough or dense. The can says it makes around 28 4" pancakes. I didn't keep count but I know that the one can was enough to feed all five of us! The kids seemed to love it! Because of it being in the can, it was a bit easier to make shapes and designs. I think if it is a special holiday or celebration, we might buy another can just for the kids to enjoy.

Ozeri Precision Pro II Digital Bathroom Scale Review

Two weeks ago I won a Ozeri Precision Pro II Digital Bathroom Scale! I was so happy that I won it because we just have a manual scale. The kids think its fun to jump on it so of course that means it is now broken! I was about to buy one when I saw this giveaway and decided to see if I would win one and sure enough I did!!!

It has some great features! It has a blue backlit LCD screen with big digits to make it easier to read. It also has InstOn technology so it captures the weight right when you step on instead of having to tap and wait. It also will weigh up to 440 lbs!!! I have hardly ever seen a scale that will weigh over 300 lbs!

It also has an oversized platform with impact resistant tempered glass. When I first got it out, I was surprised of its size! It is more of a rectangle than a square like most scales. Personally, I love this so much better! I don't feel like I am falling off while I am weighing myself!!

So far, I am in love with it! I am sure this will help motivate me even more with my weight loss journey and give me far better results than my manual scale!

If you are looking to buy a scale, check out the Ozeri Precision Pro II Digital Bathroom Scale on amazon.com! Right now it is on sale for $28.65 down from original price of $69.99!!

*Disclaimer: I won this product through a giveaway that I entered. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
