Transformation Tuesdays Week 27

It was a longer week then usual, but shorter at the same time! Holiday weekends can do that to you! I know I could have eaten a lot worse than I did. I could have eaten better than I did too. The good news is, I'm not going to beat myself up for it. I didn't get much accomplished on the home front I believe because we were gone for 4 days to spend time with family. It was a great break from home but it was still a bit stressful. Just like a vacation is with kids! My hubby helped his dad rebuild his deck so a lot of his time was out there while my time was with the kids and cooking and baking for the different pot lucks we had and then a big meal for the guys that helped with the deck. It was a great weekend, don't get me wrong. BUT I would love to have another weekend now after it so we can all recoup and I can get some time with the hubby that is not with the kids! Difference between last week and this week:
  • Not as busy
  • I am ready to dig in on the workouts
  • I have been on a cleaning/decluttering spree!
  • I am going to work to FINISH all my goals
So, this week I will be leaving my goals all the same in hopes that next week when I update, I will have a strike through everything! Hope you all have a great week!!

Day 15 Of 30 Day Shred.....Half Way!

Yay! I am now half way through my 30 Day Shred challenge! I did miss a couple days over the weekend as we were out of town. I made up for it in some of the hard work I was doing I think! Then I really got back into it yesterday as it was day 15! Things I have noticed.....
1) I don't take a good picture of myself!

2) I am not sweating as bad! I used to start sweating right away, now I can get to almost Round #3 before I start a downpour!
3) I do not have to "rest" like I did in the beginning!
4) I do have more endurance as she makes note of! I ran with my son for a short distance and wasn't completely winded and done with the day! I actually felt invigorated!
5) I feel better about doing the workout! It's something I feel better about doing, instead of HAVING to do!

Now, for the half way measurements!!!

Measurements Before:
(June 23rd)
Arms:  Left 17" Right 17.5"
Thighs: Left 30" Right 30" Circumference 43.5"
Hips: 58"
Waist(measured below tatas): 46"
Chest(tatas): 52"

Measurements Half Way:
(July 7th)
Arms: Left 16.5"  Right 17"
Thighs: Left 30" Right 30" Circumference 43.5"
Hips: 57"
Waist: 43.5"
Chest: 52"

Total in 15 days: Overall 4.5" inches!

I know some could lose more. I know I could lose more if I ate really well and did it the days I missed BUT to know I lost 4.5" is awesome!!! Now to see where I end up at the end of this! Only 15 more days to go! July 22nd isn't that far away!

Squish: Mickey Mouse Clayhouse App For iOS Review!

Looking for some summer fun that pushes the limits of your child’s creativity and imagination? Last week, Disney Publishing unveiled “Squish: Mickey Mouse Clayhouse,” the next app in its growing collection of creativity-based apps where children and families can sculpt and squish anything your imagination can dream up!

Squish: Mickey Mouse Clayhouse” invites kids to stretch, push, and pull clay to make Mickey or Minnie, or start from scratch with dozens of fun clay shapes from the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse universe. Once finished, you can twist, inflate, and melt your creation using fun and unique Squishers.

Additional features include:

• 3D clay molds of Mickey and Minnie with easy-to-use sculpting tools
• Character molds and shapes that help little ones make their favorite characters from the show
• Unique Squishers: the “Twisterator,” the “Melter,” and the “Inflaterator”
• Kids can save their clay creations to the Gallery to show-off to their family and friends

My kids LOVE it. It is like them playing with playdoh but not getting the mess all over the table! It was kind of hard at first to get the hang of it as there is no real tutorial but the kids caught on quickly. I also love that there are parental controls on it so that unless they are older and can read the number words, they shouldn't be able to get into the "grown ups only" area.

My son was the first to try it. He says it's awesome! He got to make his own Mickey Mouse and then personalize it to his liking! He then proceeded to blow it up!

My lil sweetheart thought it was fun to get to make her own shapes. She took a circle shape and then dressed it up with some sunglasses, hair bow, and guitar and then stretched it out to make it go in all sorts of directions! Her choice to "destroy" her creation was to put it in a tube and twist it until it popped and fell out of the tube!

Overall I say this is a great app for younger kids. There isn't much to it so they will be able to pick it up fairly easy. They also will enjoy being able to make their own creations and destroy it! Moms will love it as they are playing this on their phone and not in real life! I know for me, playdoh is fun in the house but I really do not like the mess that it leaves behind!

*Disclaimer: I received Squish: Mickey Mouse Clayhouse in return for a review. All views and opinions are my own.

DreamWorks Pictures' THE HUNDRED-FOOT JOURNEY - French Onion Soup Recipe

All these recipes that are coming out are making me want to get into a baking mood! I have never tried a French Onion Soup but the way they make this makes it look so different and yummy! I think its the French baguettes really that sell me on this! It's going to be hard to see this movie and not think of all the food they cook in there and how great it looks!

The Hundred-Foot Journey comes to theatres August 1st!

Transformation Tuesdays Week 26

First off, seriously how can this year already be half over?! That is just crazy! It's time to really get to work on my personal goals. I think it will be better to get this going this fall but I really need to work on it not matter as a time as a mindset. We are looking at buying a house in the future so got to start working on tracking our expenses and see where we can cut and save money. We have gone through Dave Ramsey 3 times and some things have stuck but we have fallen off that wagon too many times again. Time for us to really focus and keep ourselves from getting too over our head! Yet another mindset needed to be changed. It takes 21 days to make a habit, it takes one day to drop it! Is there anything you are working on to make better in your life? How do you keep up with that?
